Queensland Reds coach Les Kiss insists Jordan Petaia’s shift out of his preferred fullback jersey will have no bearing on whether the sought-after star remains in the Super Rugby Pacific.

A lucrative Rugby Australia deal to retain Wallabies and Waratahs sensation Max Jorgensen for another two years has been sealed after he dismissed interest from the NRL, but the game’s governing body still has to make tough choices on other priority players.

Sydney Roosters ace Joseph Suaalii has already signed to the 15-man code on a multimillion-dollar deal from next year, and Petaia has since been linked with a rugby league code switch of his own.
