BIG STONE GAP, Va. (WJHL) — A man was sentenced on Tuesday for a 2022 shooting in downtown Big Stone Gap, Virginia.
Shane Christopher Martin, 32, of Richmond, was sentenced in the Wise County Circuit Court after he previously pleaded guilty on Jan. 19, 2024, to one count of the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and one count of aggravated malicious wounding, the Commonwealth Attorney said in a release.

Martin was sentenced to a total of 23 years with nine years suspended and will serve an active sentence of 14 years in prison, the release stated.
