Check presented to woman who was scammed in North Texas [Video]

The woman was seen depositing thousands into a Bitcoin machine in north Texas when a good Samaritan and a cop stepped in to help.

WHITE SETTLEMENT, Texas — White Settlement Chief of Police Christopher Cook provided a heartwarming update to a case involving an 84-year-old woman who was being scammed out of $40,000.

According to police,  the woman was seen depositing thousands of dollars into a Bitcoin machine at a Chevron gas station off of I-30 in White Settlement, Texas. 

A good Samaritan, Mindy Jordan, approached the woman and could hear people on the phone with her, quickly realizing that this was likely a scam that targeted the older woman. 

The woman reportedly had $44,000 in cash with her and she insisted that the people on the phone with her were from the bank. 

Jordan then called the police as the woman appeared scared.
