CONNECTICUT, USA — Downed power lines and trees brought closed roads in Connecticut Sunday afternoon as severe weather swept through the state.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch was issued for the state until 7 p.m. 2,026 outages in the state were reported by Eversource as of 7 p.m.

The Simsbury Police Department advised residents to use caution and to avoid driving around barriers or touching wires. Any hazardous areas in town that have not been addressed by officials can be reported to the police department at 860-658-3100.
