EXCLUSIVE: Israeli consulate worker, 24, is charged with attempted murder ‘after battering man with giant glass JUG’ in unprovoked bare-chested attack outside NYC nightclub

, updated

A worker at New York’s Israeli consulate was charged with attempted murder after allegedly battering a man with a giant glass jug outside a Manhattan nightclub.

Jounathan Maimon, 24, is said to have rampaged with the 1.75 liter glass bottle after a trip to Gospel nightclub in SoHo on February 26, striking a 42 year-old man in the head.

The victim, who hasn’t been named, was approached by an unidentified man cops say is Maimon while standing at a traffic light, waiting for it to change.

Maimon – whose role at the consulate was not disclosed – is then accused of striking his victim hard once in the head, prompting the man to fall to the ground in an attack described as unprovoked.

That didn’t stop …
