Four-legged veteran granted honorary membership to local RSL [Video]

Cronulla RSL has granted its first honorary membership to a four-legged veteran as Anzac Day draws near.

Former military dog Manic, a 10-year-old Belgian malinois, served in Iraq in 2016 and in the counter-terrorism team from 2018 to 2020.

The dog is now in retirement and spends it with his fellow veterans at the local RSL at Cronulla. 

Manic was found in a pound and was recruited by the Australian Defence Force. (Nine)

“He comes to dawn service every year, and then after dawn service, he comes back to the club and spends the whole morning here with us,” former soldier and Cronulla RSL member Cory Rinaldi said.
