ATLANTA – A Heat Advisory has been issued for multiple Georgia counties for Monday.
The advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. for Jasper, Lamar, Putnam and Upson counties, according to the National Weather Service.
The advisory also affects parts of middle and southwest Georgia.
According to FOX 5 Atlanta meteorologist, heat and humidity will reign supreme again today.
Expect high temperatures in the mid 90s, but with the heat index, it will feel more like 100 degrees.
There could be a few pop-up storms after 2 p.m. mainly near and east of Atlanta.
Tuesday could bring a break from the 90s and any storms. However, it will still be seasonably hot and humid. But, not quite as steamy as every other day in our weekly forecast.
By Wednesday and through the 4th of July, we’ll hit the repeat button with 90s and high humidity with scattered afternoon storms.
