History will judge Anthony Albanese ‘harshly’ over Middle East views

Former Victorian Liberal Party president Michael Kroger says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is “under pressure” from the hard left of his party and “bowing to them”.

Opposition Leader Peter Dutton says he “very strongly” supports comments from US President Joe Biden in relation to the ICC’s appeal for an arrest warrant against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese refrained from commenting on the matter.

“There are occasions in life Albo where you have got to stand on great principles, and this is one of them,” Mr Kroger told Sky News Australia.

“History will judge him incredibly harshly unless he makes a clear position on this and on other issues facing the Middle East.”
