Ian Wright cannot wait for Gabriel Jesus’ return from injury and says the Arsenal striker can spark an upturn in form in team-mate Gabriel Martinelli.
Jesus has not played for Premier League leaders Arsenal in 2023 after suffering a knee injury during Brazil’s World Cup campaign in Qatar.
The former Manchester City striker is at least closing in on a return from the treatment room, having been pictured in training this week as he continues his rehabilitation.
Wright believes Jesus’ return will be a huge boost to title-chasing Arsenal and says it can help Martinelli rediscover his best form.
Martinelli went eight games without a goal throughout January and most of February but scored in Arsenal’s recent wins over Aston Villa and Leicester City.
