The news about former NFL coach Bill Belichick’s recent relationship with a former college cheerleader almost 50 years younger than him has shocked some of those around him, though some don’t necessarily see the couple becoming a “long-term thing.”
In June, PEOPLE confirmed that Belichick, 72, has been dating Jordon Hudson, 24, for more than a year after the pair were spotted together on a number of occasions, sparking rumors of their romance. This comes after the former New England Patriots coach and his longtime girlfriend, Linda Holliday, called it quits after 16 years together last September.
A pair of sources opened up to PEOPLE this week about Belichick’s new relationship with Hudson, a former college cheerleader at Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts, with one source saying that even though Belichick can be flirty, his relationship with Hudson was shocking to learn about.
