Max Verstappen fairly cruised to victory at the season-opening grand prix in Bahrain, leading home a Red Bull one-two so dominant rival team principal Toto Wolff afterwards described the Dutchman as “not just in a different league, but in a different galaxy”.
After the optimism of qualifying on Friday, when the top eight were separated by just half a second, this was a reality check for anyone hoping there might be a title fight this year.
