Greene County murder suspect Jordan Allen appears in court for motion hearing [Video]

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) – Jordan Allen is charged with two counts of first-degree murder for the alleged killing of his 7-year-old brother Jessie Allen and his grandmother back in April 2022.

At that time Jordan Allen was just 16 years old. Now at 18 years old, Allen appeared in the Greene County court on Tuesday for a motions hearing.

The motion hearing gave both Allen’s public defender and the district attorney general an opportunity to bring up issues for the judge to decide on before the trial. Todd Estep, Allen’s public defender, wanted to request that some photos taken at the crime scene be removed or have certain parts blacked out.

“Your honor, there’s a lot of DNA evidence in this case,” Estep said. “I just want to make sure that everything is there in case new evidence is ever discovered.”
