AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin police said no one was injured and there wasn’t any reported damage after a rockslide on Loop 360 overnight, though the roadway was shut down for several hours while crews cleared the area.

Rocks started falling around 10:40 p.m. and the roadway was closed until shortly after 2 a.m.

The Austin Police Department said on social media it happened near the intersection of North Capital of Texas Highway, also known as Loop 360, Southbound and FM 2222, just north of the Pennybacker Bridge.

Crews from the Texas Department of Transportation worked to clear the area, bringing in a bulldozer to collect rocks and put them into a pile. They finished their work around 2 a.m.

APD said no one was hurt and nothing was damaged.
