Andy Murray has confirmed that he is set for his final summer in tennis before retirement following his on-court meltdown in Dubai on Wednesday.
The 36-year-old lost his temper at various points in his 6-2 6-4 defeat to fifth-seed Ugo Humbert in the last 16 of the Dubai Tennis Championships.
Murray, a two-time Wimbledon champion and former world No.1, was seen smashing his racket against the umpire’s chair in anger during the match.
The British legend also screamed ‘I don’t have a clue what I’m doing’ at his coaching box and said that he was having ‘awful feelings on the tennis court’.
After the loss, world No.67 Murray once again opened up about plans for retirement and said: ‘Yeah, I mean, I’m likely not going to play past this summer.
‘I get asked about it after every single match that I play, every single tournament that I play. I’m bored of the question, to be honest.
