MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – Auburn Tigers fans will soon find some technology upgrades inside Jordan-Hare Stadium after the Auburn University Board of Trustees approved a videoboard expansion in the north end zone.
The BOT, which met on the campus of Auburn University at Montgomery Friday morning, gave the first level of approval to move forward with the expansion. The project will see the replacement of the current scoreboard, which was installed in 1987.
Auburn Athletics said the new videoboard will be 47 feet high and 154 feet wide, giving the team 7,238 square feet of LED space for game displays. When completed, it will be the sixth largest videoboard in the SEC.
