Chancellor says if encampment doesnt end soon, UWM will have ‘ensure that it does’ [Video]

Wednesday marked Day 10 of the pro-Palestinian protest at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and the chancellor is giving an ultimatum.The encampment has grown in size with more tents, signs and protesters.Chancellor Mark Mone said Wednesday in a message to students, faculty and staff that “if the encampment doesn’t end soon, UWM will have to take action to ensure that it does.”Students and other pro-Palestinian protesters say they’re not leaving until their list of demands is met.”The chancellor is still, you know, avoiding directly addressing many of the demands, which they claim that they can they cannot meet,” Ameen Atta, with the UWM Popular University for Palestine Coalition said.They’re calling for the university to publicize its investments and divest from anything that benefits Israel.”They have proposed to meet with us with some kind of plan of action.
