When we think of a water park, we don’t often think of luxury.

However, sat on the iconic Palm Jumeirah the sprawling Aquaventure park is a tropical haven of sun loungers, lazy rivers, surf simulators and 105 record-breaking water slides.

It’s part of the iconic pink palace – Atlantis, The Palm – which has become synonymous with Dubai, and the landmark five-star hotel is the epitome of luxury.

While it’s often the imposing backdrop to influencer posts, it turns out the hotel is actually the ultimate family destination that children (and adults) of any age will undoubtedly enjoy.

The water park is free to guests staying at Atlantis, but can also be enjoyed by visitors who can secure themselves a day pass starting at £58 for an adult.

To ensure the water park truly is worth flying six hours for, I hopped on a plane and went to try it out for myself – including every single one of the record-breaking rides.
