Iowa City anti-war protests continue amid nationwide conflicts between protestors and police [Video]

IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) – From coast to coast people protesting the ongoing Israel-Hamas war have come into conflict with local law enforcement.

In Iowa City on April 26th, Iowans for Palestine and Veterans for Peace continued their protest of the war which began in early October.

Protestors such as Pat Minor say they have not had any direct interference from the Iowa City or the University of Iowa Police Departments.

She says however, these nationwide clashes between police officers and protesters can subvert their message.

“What happens so often is that anything we say is considered anti-Semitic and that’s simply isn’t true. You know we are definitely against what the Israeli government is doing, but you can walk around here and find Jewish kids,” said Iowans for Palestine and Veterans for Peace Co-Founder, Pat Minor.

She says they plan to protest Sunday, April 28th, while Speaker Mike Johnson is visiting Iowa City to support Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks’ …
