Israel allows trucks from newly reopened Erez crossing into Gaza after US pressure | The World

In the Middle East, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has met with Israel’s prime minister. Mr Blinken says he’s yet to see a plan for Israel’s planned Rafah offensive that would protect civilians. It comes as Israel re-opens a main crossing into Gaza to allow more aid to reach the enclave’s north. Reporter Eric Tlozek tells The World’s Yvonne Yong it was no coincidence the crossing opened the same day Antony Blinken.
