Israeli forces launched another raid on the largest hospital in the Gaza Strip early Monday on claims that Hamas terrorists regrouped there and fired attacks from inside the compound.
The Israeli military last raided Al-Shifa Hospital in November after claiming that Hamas maintained an elaborate command center inside and beneath the facility, which was later confirmed by a US intelligence report released in January.
People sheltering in the hospital said Israeli forces had surrounded the complex early Monday and that snipers were firing at people inside, according to a report by The Associated Press. The people also said the army raided several buildings and detained dozens of people.
The Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry said around 30,000 people were sheltering at the hospital, including patients, medical staff and people who have fled their homes seeking safety …
