Jets general manager Joe Douglas said last week he wanted to turn One Jets Drive into a quarterback factory.
Saturday he made good on that promise, picking a quarterback for only the third time in his fifth NFL Draft. The good news for fifth-round pick Jordan Travis, the Jets, and Douglas, is that it would be hard for this pick to work out worse than the first two.
The Jets picked Travis, the former FSU star, with the 171st overall pick in the draft after swinging another trade (his fifth of Saturday) to move up with the Eagles.
