George Galloway has claimed he is in defection talks with “several” Labour MPs and other elected party officials, warning Sir Keir could be hit with major losses over his stance on Israel and Gaza.
Speaking this morning, Mr Galloway claimed: “I can confirm that there are several Labour members of Parliament, one Labour lord and at least a dozen Labour councillors who will defect either this week, or more probably next”.
Mr Galloway, who made a stunning return to Parliament earlier this year by defeating Labour in the Rochdale by-election, unveiled his new 150 parliamentary candidates this lunchtime, promising to contest every seat in Great Britain at the election.
