Man sentenced in deadly gas station shooting in Lawrence [Video]

Gamble was convicted on murder, attempted robbery and other charges in the killing of Israel Eduardo Raymundo Cruz.

On Sept. 1, 2021, police were called to the 4200 block of North Post Road, near East 42nd Street on a report of a person shot.

Police got to the scene and found Cruz in a vehicle with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition and later pronounced dead.

Surveillance video showed Gamble and Isaiah Davie-Franks approach Cruz’s car and then the three struggling. The video then showed both suspects shoot Cruz.
