MUNSTER tamed the Lions to become the first European team to win in Johannesburg in the URC this season.
And they did so by demolishing their South African foes 33-13.
Jack Crowley kicked them into an early nine-point lead.
It took until the 27th minute for the Lions to register their first points through Jordan Hendrikse.
But Munster were in the mood as Jack O’Donoghue touched down.
The Reds were then awarded a penalty try on the stroke of half-time.Shane Daly sealed the victory eight minutes into the second half with his try.
And despite PJ Botha going over for the hosts in the second half, Gavin Coombes had the final say.
