Nigeria-Qatar Business Forum: Enhancing Bilateral Cooperation and Investment

Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu engaged with the business community in Qatar, and expectations are high for fruitful outcomes from the Nigeria-Qatar Business and Investment Forum in Doha. During the forum, President Tinubu emphasised Nigeria’s ongoing reforms and upgrades, inviting Qatari investors to participate in the country’s economic transformation journey. He also pledged swift action against corruption, urging investors to report any misconduct directly to his office.

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna highlighted agriculture as a key sector for mutual benefit, while discussions on the future of gas in energy transition plans underscored joint interests between Nigeria and Qatar. Additionally, the Ministry of Youth Development facilitated youth engagement with Qatar’s business community, aiming for collaborative opportunities and mutual growth. Overall, the forum signals a commitment to strengthen bilateral cooperation and foster investment opportunities between Nigeria and Qatar.
