Palestinian leader Mahmud Abbas on April 28 said the United States is the only country capable of stopping an Israeli invasion of Rafah. For more analysis, FRANCE 24’s Yinka Oyetade is joined by Tahani Mustafa, a Palestine analyst at the International Crisis Group. “In order to get Israel to abandon its plan with this impending invasion, it is for the West and especially the US, to rethink its position vis-a-vis Israel. (…) So far we haven’t seen the US put any red lines on Israel”, she said.
