Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister met Pakistan’s prime minister and president on a two-day visit to the country. The trip comes days after prime minister Shehbaz Sharif and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman agreed to expedite Saudi investments during a meeting earlier this month. Pakistan’s top diplomat called the Saudi delegation the biggest he had seen in his political career. Islamabad claimed that the focus of this trip would be on Saudi investments. One of the projects is the Reko Diq mine in Balochistan, where Riyadh is investing around $1 billion. Will the Saudis make inroads into China-dominated Balochistan?
