Statewide gas price increases have stalled after a steady rise, according to AAA Texas.

As of Thursday, the Bryan-College Station area had an average price of $3.25 per gallon, which is a 3-cent increase from a week ago. That matches the state average, which is down 4 cents per gallon from a week ago.

AAA Texas officials said the cost of oil reached the upper $80s per barrel due to recent tensions in the Middle East, but prices have fallen into the low $80s. Oil market officials are on the lookout to see if any further military actions occur.
