NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Two radar-confirmed tornadoes were reported in Middle Tennessee Monday afternoon, according to the Nashville Weather Service.
WILSON COUNTY
What will likely be classified as a weak tornado touched down in Lebanon in Wilson County on Monday afternoon. The tornado warning was issued at 2:55 p.m. and at 2:57 p.m. the National Weather Service reported seeing debris on the radar.
By 3:04 p.m., the rotation had weakened and it was evident the tornado was no longer on the ground. The tornado warning was canceled at 3:10 p.m.
DEKALB COUNTY
More rotation prompted another tornado warning for DeKalb and White Counties at 4:24 p.m.
At 4:30 p.m., the National Weather Service confirmed a tornado had touched down in Smithville and was picking up debris, as was evident by the radar.
