The National Weather Service issued an updated weather alert at 8:47 a.m. on Sunday for dense fog until 11 a.m. for Northern Clinton, Northern Centre, Southern Centre, Northern Lycoming, Southern Clinton and Southern Lycoming as well as McKean, Potter, Elk, Cameron, Clearfield, Cambria, Blair, Huntingdon, Somerset, Bedford, Fulton, Franklin, Tioga, Sullivan, Union, Snyder, Montour, Northumberland, Columbia, Perry, Dauphin, Lebanon, Cumberland, Adams, York and Lancaster counties.
“Dense fog is occurring across the region this morning with visibilities below one quarter mile in some spots. Use caution if you will be traveling this morning as conditions can change rapidly. The fog will be especially dense across the ridge tops and in deeper valley locations. Again, be alert for a wide range of conditions and slow down in areas of adverse conditions. The fog should burn off by late morning,” says the weather service.
