The National Weather Service issued an updated weather alert at 12:25 a.m. on Monday for fog until 3 a.m. for Northern Clinton, Northern Centre, Southern Centre, Northern Lycoming, Southern Clinton and Southern Lycoming as well as Warren, McKean, Potter, Elk, Cameron, Clearfield, Cambria, Blair, Huntingdon, Somerset, Bedford, Fulton, Franklin, Tioga, Sullivan, Union, Snyder, Montour, Northumberland, Columbia, Perry, Dauphin, Lebanon, Cumberland, Adams, York and Lancaster counties.
“Areas of fog are expanding across central Pennsylvania tonight, with visibility locally below one half mile. The fog may become locally dense, particularly at higher elevations. Motorists should prepare for variable visibility conditions and allow extra time for travel. Use your low beam headlights in areas of fog and leave extra space between vehicles,” says the weather service.
