(COLORADO SPRINGS) — According to the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, Nicholas Jordan’s defense team waived the reading of new charges at a hearing on March 27, due to the competency evaluation that is in progress.

The additional Harassment and Assault on a Peace Officer charges will now tentatively be addressed at the competency hearing scheduled for April 12 at 11 a.m.

Nicholas Jordan, the man who was arrested for his alleged involvement in a double homicide at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) on Feb. 16, could face new charges after the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s (DA) Office said he assaulted a deputy at the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center (CJC).
