For the first time in the history of the tournament, eight teams will participate in the women’s event. Joining the cricketing powerhouses of India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh will be the semi-finalists of the Women’s Premier Cup 2024 – UAE, Malaysia, Nepal, and Thailand.
In the last edition of the Women’s Asia Cup, seven teams competed in the title battle.
Eight teams are divided into two groups of four teams each. India, Pakistan, UAE and Nepal are placed in Group A while Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Thailand make up Group B.
The top two teams from each group will enter the semifinals on July 27 while the summit clash will take place on July 28.
