The roaring sounds of the jet engines and the high skyline in the backdrop are not new for Dubai, the city that hosts one of the busiest airports in the world. Yet, Wednesday was a special occasion because the jet engines were not on massive airplanes but on human pilots who also doubled up as the race vehicle.
Dubai is already becoming an adventure destination with zip line facilities installed at landmarks such as the Dubai Marina and the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. The city has also been toying with the idea of introducing flying taxis for a while but, in the meantime, has achieved yet another world first with the Dubai Jet Suit Race.
