A Billings man pleaded not guilty to felony assault with a weapon Monday after allegedly pulling a loaded handgun on a man and threatening him.

The victim was dropped home afterward by a colleague when he allegedly found Jordan Lee Schwindt, 23, and two women in his front yard. The victim believed Schwindt was looking inside his vehicle and asked him what he was doing, according to charging documents.

Schwindt responded “what you gonna do [slur]” and revealed a handgun in his waistline. The victim went inside and called 911. Schwindt then fled the scene, ditching the gun while being pursued by the police.

The 9mm pistol had a magazine with six rounds, including one in the chamber, was found in an alley on the 900 block of Terry Avenue, next door to where the homicide of Andy Bear Tusk-Martinez is being investigated.
