This is the chilling moment a Moroccan asylum seeker admitted stabbing a pensioner to death at random in ‘revenge’ for the Israel-Hamas conflict. Ahmed Ali Alid, 45, drifted around 13 European countries before entering Britain illegally and spending three years in official accommodation while waiting for his asylum claim to be processed.

He was today found guilty of murdering pensioner Terence Carney at random on  October 15 and attempting to kill his Christian convert housemate in ‘revenge’ for the conflict in the Middle East. 

His housemate, Iranian asylum seeker Javed Nouri, reported Alid to police and Home Office housing managers on October 9 and 13 – revealing how he would sit in the kitchen with a knife and give him ‘bad looks’ following his conversion to Christianity. Mr Nouri was told no further action would be taken as Alid had not committed an offence.
