NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 43-year-old man faces several drug charges after a traffic stop led to a drug bust over the weekend, officials said.

According to an arrest report, the incident occurred on Saturday, March 16, after officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) observed a four door sedan traveling with no lights on and the tag hanging off the back of the vehicle.

Officers reportedly followed the vehicle on Lebanon Pike from Donelson Pike to Graylynn Drive. During that time, “the vehicle did not maintain its lane and crossed several traffic lines,” officials said.

An arrest report states a traffic stop was initiated on Graylynn Drive. When officers approached the vehicle, they reported the driver’s eyes were glassy and asked if he would participate in field sobriety tests.

The driver — identified as 43-year-old Larry Stephney — showed signs of impairment during the test, authorities reported.
