PARKSVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — A driver and passenger were injured after an early morning crash involving a cow in Parksville.

The Boyle County Fire Department (BCFD) said in a Facebook post that the call came in around 3:19 a.m. on Monday regarding a car accident on Lebanon Road.

The car was found to have extensive front-end damage after hitting a cow that was loose in the roadway, according to BCFD, and the two occupants suffered minor injuries.

The fire department said the cow was killed in the crash.

The occupants were examined, treated, and released on scene, BCFD said. The road remained closed while officials worked to clear the scene.
