St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Dylan Carlson collided with teammate Jordan Walker and tumbled toward the outfield wall on Monday against the Chicago Cubs at Sloan Park.
Carlson stopped a few feet short of the wall but his status for Opening Day is now uncertain. As he walked off the field, his left arm and shoulder appeared to droop and his facial expression was full of disappointment.
He underwent tests late Monday night but the only diagnosis revealed by the team was “left shoulder injury.”
“He feels banged up,” manager Oliver Marmol said.“Combination of that left shoulder when it hit the ground, his hip, his ankle. So I don’t have a whole lot just yet other than he doesn’t feel real good. … …
